QR Scanner ("the app") scans QR codes and barcodes with your camera, keeps a scan history, and creates QR codes for text, links, WiFi credentials, and contact info. This policy explains what information the app handles.
The app itself does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. Your scan history and created codes are stored only on your device. The camera is used solely to read codes in real time — no photos or video are captured, uploaded, or retained. No account or sign-in is required.
The app displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain device information to provide and measure ads, such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, and coarse device/app information. This collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your Android device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Permissions are used only for the features described and never for data collection.
Because your data never leaves your device, there is no server-side retention. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
The app is a general-purpose utility tool not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's data.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
